War Room follows the story of a family struggling to get through life. Tony, the husband, is struggling with lust for women other than his wife, and Elizabeth, the wife, is too busy to be there for her family. They argue incessantly and the tension is unreal. The result is that their young daughter feels adrift and unloved.
Then everything changes when Elizabeth is hired to sell an elderly woman’s house. Miss Clara shows the new hire her favorite room in the building: her war room. In that little room, she spent hours upon hours praying and fighting battles the way God tells us to. When Miss Clara asks Elizabeth if she can teach her how to fight for her family the Biblical way , things begin to change.
THIS IS A MUST SEE.
Yes, it’s a Christian film and not all the acting is incredible and the storyline sounds cheesy, BUT:
This movie is revolutionary.
I’ve never left a theater with such an intense desire to find an altar and pray before this film. It’s the kind of film that inspires hope and dreams and sounds the call for a return to prayer. It’s the kind of film that sparks the imagination and encourages growth. It’s the kind of film that you sit through while bawling your eyes out and thanking God for grace.
I cannot begin to tell you how life changing this movie is. If you haven’t made plans to see it, do so now. Don’t wait till later when you will forget. See it tonight or this weekend or soon. Just see it.
There is so much power in prayer and this movie is one spectacularly moving reminder of that.
