My 2 Cents on War Room

War Room follows the story of a family struggling to get through life. Tony, the husband, is struggling with lust for women other than his wife, and Elizabeth, the wife, is too busy to be there for her family. They argue incessantly and the tension is unreal. The result is that their young daughter feels adrift and unloved.

In that little room, she spent hours upon hours praying and fighting battles the way God tells us to. When Miss Clara asks Elizabeth if she can teach her how to fight for her family the Biblical way , things begin to change.

THIS IS A MUST SEE.

Yes, it’s a Christian film and not all the acting is incredible and the storyline sounds cheesy, BUT:

This movie is revolutionary.

I’ve never left a theater with such an intense desire to find an altar and pray before this film. It’s the kind of film that inspires hope and dreams and sounds the call for a return to prayer. It’s the kind of film that sparks the imagination and encourages growth. It’s the kind of film that you sit through while bawling your eyes out and thanking God for grace.

And if that’s not enough for you, there are many well-timed jokes, adorable family moments and the ever hilarious Miss Clara’s worship outbursts. That woman is spunky!warroom-mv-4

I cannot begin to tell you how life changing this movie is. If you haven’t made plans to see it, do so now. Don’t wait till later when you will forget. See it tonight or this weekend or soon. Just see it.

There is so much power in prayer and this movie is one spectacularly moving reminder of that.

  1. Saw War Room last night with about 10 other 40+ singles and as for me , I think the thrust of the movie has value. It shows the power of prayer and the need for getting quiet before God and doing business with Him. Agree that perhaps the acting isnt the greatest at times and the story line cheesy , but the message is clear and it should resonate with anyone that is a Christ follower. I give it a 7 for acting , 7 for story line , and a 10 for message. Worth seeing and a heck of a lot better for you than the majority of movies coming out of Hollywood.

    1. I couldn’t agree more. If I were rating the movie from a purely cinematic stand point, it would have scored 4-6… but the core of the film was so powerful and so moving that it deserved a 10.

I could feel the Spirit moving in the theater as every person facing trials felt their heart respond to the call to prayer.

It was the most powerful movie going experience I’ve had, and I’ve had some doozies.

      Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
